FARMERS' MARKET!
Opening June 23, 2012!

Upton's first-ever FARMERS' MARKET will debut on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 10am! This date was chosen, to coincide with other festivities taking place in town that day, including the PanMass Challenge sponsored by the Upton Police Dept and the Upton Mens' Club's Annual Fireworks Celebration!

The Fiske Ave Farmers' Market @ A Little Common Sense
will be open every Saturday 10am - 2pm this summer, culminating with a harvest celebration during Upton's Heritage Weekend! The market will be held, rain or shine, on the lawn behind 62 Main Street, on Fiske Ave, between Main Street and Pleasant Street.

A Little Common Sense will be open 9-3 every Saturday, with Kids' Art Classes taking place 9:30-11:30 on a drop-in, space-available-basis. Reserve a spot by registering in advance, online. Other classes and workshops will be scheduled throughout the season, both indoors and outdoors, for all ages, including many gardening, homesteading, and farm-related topics!

FARMERS NEEDED!

Here's our ad on Craigslist, calling for Farmers!

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
We're opening up the Farmers' Market to backyard gardeners to sell their homegrown veggies!

There will be no fee to do this, but we'll ask for a monetary donation to our local Food Pantry. You must sign up in advance and choose the dates you'd like to participate, so we can assure we have a fairly balanced number of vendors each week. There will be no fee/no permits needed as long as you are only selling uncut fresh produce (fruits/berries/veggies) and/or plants, that you have grown. Anything else needs prior approval, and ANYTHING processed (including baked goods, jellies, etc) must be produced in a board-of-health certified kitchen (this is per the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Environmental Health Food Protection Program). Certificate will be issued to you by the board of health in the town where you reside, and a copy must be presented and posted in order to participate at the market.

Please message me for more info if you're interested in participating this summer!
